Grandma
by Kelsey
(Boston)
Grandma,
i remember you oh so well
you always treated me like your own
You picked me up when i fell
and wiped the blood from my knee
after school i came home to soup you've been making all day
there is no grandma just like you
i was considered your daughter
yes i had a mom, a dad
but they were divorced
and there was work in between
you took me to boston
you bought me everything you could
you offered to bring me to italy
you let me sleep at your house everyday
even on school nights, you'd welcome me in
grandma, there was always something special about you
that no one could take away
i was there when you died
when you took your last breath
grandma
i love you so much
no, not grandma...
"mom" i promise to visit your grave whenever i can
