Inspirational Poems

Welcome to my inspirational poems page. I have to be honest I don’t know much about poems. However, I do know when something sounds good. I love the way a well written poem sounds like, especially when its about my favorite subject of inspiration.

I have compiled a list of poems that inspire me. I hope you get the same inspiration as well.Enjoy my poems list.

INSPIRATIONAL POEM OF THE PAGE
No Regrets By Agnes Sligh Turnbull

There is only one thing about which I shall have no regrets when my life ends.

I have savoured to the full all the small, daily joys.

The bright sunshine on the breakfast table;

the smell of the air at dusk;

the sound of the clock ticking;

the light rains that start gently after midnight;

the hour when the family come home;

Sunday evening tea before the fire!

I have never missed one moment of beauty,

not ever taken it for granted.

Spring, summer, autumn, or winter.

I wish I had failed as little in other ways.

Try And Try By David Cook

I have always seen life for what it really is. Ever since I was a child growing up, hard times are all I know.

I had to sit back and watch my mother work from sunset to sundown. I had to sit back and watch my mother work herself to her grave.

Nothing ever came easy for her. She always had a heart and kept a smile on her face.

Life is like a newborn baby struggling to come out of its mother's womb,

life is a struggle true enough, but after all the struggling you have done,

and after all the hell you have been through, there is success. Life is nothing but a big struggle, but just keep the faith and focus on your goals.

Don't let life beat you or you will be walking around like zombies. Keep on pushing, keep on trying, life can be whatever you make it to be.

But life can also be a bowl of cherries with whip cream and apple pie. I say this again; life is what you make of it.

You can achieve or conquer anything it throws at you, you can't quit or give up, you have got to keep on working,

look higher some way, some how you are going to make it.

The Person I Long To Be By Victoria A. Mogyorosi

The day light breaks againAnother day has begun.

But still no sleep has come.My body is weary

My mind overworked.I lie awake thinking

But what I am unsure.I need to break free from the cycle I endure.

Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide

Unable to break free from the everyday flow.This is not me I need to change, before time takes over

And I am unable to change.I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary

And become that person I have always longed for.Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.

Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.Make changes in my life and help those in need.

I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive wayAnd leave my mark on society before I fade away.

The Winner By William Wilson Hare

What of the lad who never wins,but never quits the race?Who knows before the day begins,he's doomed to second place.

Two left feet; too many thumbsbut still he plods ahead.He'll arrive to catch the crumbs,after the winners have been fed.

Who is this lad of average skills,who's most of the human race?One by one he'll climb life's hills,just trying to keep life's pace.

Life By Benjamin K. Kotey

It takes a day to make a dream,But it takes many nights for a seed to become a tree.

Life is a ladder that must be climbed.But in every stage,

There are many rivers and battles to fightAnd our hopes determines our future.

Life is a trip through the wildernessAnd everyone must survive for success.

But without a determinationWe can never reach our destination.

There are many roads in life,But choice

Stands between the broad and the narrow.The world is not only what we see

But what we hearLife is time and time is tide.

We are making an endless journeyBut no ladder is without an end

Problems may fall like rainBut every seed has its season.
