wish i could explain this,
oh i really do
how i grew so close and fond of you
when once all I could see
was pushing myself away from you.
you see I was hurt in the past
so I was afraid to let love in once more,
but there you were
sturdy and strong
but most of all dependent
you cared for me even when I couldn't care for myself
you see, you understood me
even when I couldn't understand myself
but most importantly
no matter how many times I hurt you
you never gave up on me...
so I guess i could say that really
you grew on me.
